The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art opened to the press in Los Angeles this week. George Lucas and Mellody Hobson built it for stories. The reviews split. Some saw a house of plot. Some saw a brand with a roof.

On Friday, September 4, 2026, we hold that opening to one pressure: who still gets into the story, and who is cropped from the frame.
