Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Chronicle of Convergence (“the Site”) is operated by WeMake, Corp. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect when you visit chronicleofconvergence.com and related pages, and how we use it.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. If you email us (for example at contact@chronicleofconvergence.com), we receive the content of your message and your email address so we can respond.
Technical and usage data. Like most websites, our hosting provider or content-delivery infrastructure may automatically log standard server data such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages requested, and timestamps. We use this for security, reliability, and aggregate traffic understanding—not to sell personal profiles.
Analytics data (Google Analytics 4). We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a free web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to measure aggregate traffic (for example page views, approximate location at a regional level, device/browser type, referring sites, and how visitors move through the Site). GA4 is loaded on public pages when enabled via our site configuration (Measurement ID beginning with G-). Google processes this data under Google’s terms and privacy policy. We use analytics for audience understanding and product improvement—not to sell personal profiles or run third-party advertising networks on the Site.
Local storage on your device. The Site’s editor tools (when used) may store draft and preference data in your browser’s localStorage. That data stays on your device unless you clear site data or export it yourself. Public visitors browsing the home page are not required to log in and are not asked for account credentials.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not operate a first-party advertising cookie program on the Site. Essential or functional storage (for example, localStorage used by the editor) may be used so tools work as designed. Google Analytics may set or read cookies and similar identifiers (and use local storage) to distinguish sessions and measure usage. Third-party services we load for performance or fonts (such as font CDNs) may set their own cookies or logs under their policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, use browser privacy modes, or Google’s tools where available (including browser add-ons that limit Google Analytics). Blocking analytics cookies may not affect basic reading of public pages.
4. How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site;
- To respond to messages you send us;
- To understand aggregate readership patterns (including via Google Analytics);
- To comply with law and protect our rights and users.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Sharing
We may share information with service providers who host or help operate the Site (for example, hosting, DNS, and Google Analytics), only as needed to perform those services. Google may process analytics data on servers outside your country. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the Site, our users, or the public. In a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, information may transfer as part of that transaction under continued confidentiality expectations where applicable.
6. Third-party content and links
News cards and other links may lead to external publishers. Those sites have their own privacy practices. Images may be loaded from third-party CDNs or image proxies; those providers may receive request metadata (such as IP and referrer) as part of delivering the asset.
7. Retention
Server logs are retained according to our host’s defaults and our operational needs, then deleted or aggregated. Email correspondence is retained as long as needed to handle your request and maintain ordinary business records.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Your choices
- You may browse without creating an account.
- You may clear cookies and site storage in your browser.
- You may limit Google Analytics via browser settings or Google’s published opt-out mechanisms for Analytics, where available.
- You may contact us to request access to or deletion of personal information you have sent us by email, subject to legal retention needs. Analytics data held by Google is subject to Google’s retention and tools as well as our operational settings.
11. International visitors
The Site may be hosted in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand that information may be processed in the U.S. and other locations where our providers operate.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
